| Module Aim(s): | The
module provides students with sufficient
understanding of the fundamentals of electrical
engineering to analyse the performance of
electrical components and equipment found in
building electrical systems. Meanwhile,
opportunities for adequately modelling
electrical systems such as using equivalent
circuits for problem solving are also provided. |
| Objectives: | On
completion of this Module, students are expected
to be able to: 1. model electrical components and electrical systems to solve electrical engineering problems; 2. apply basic circuit theories to analyse the DC and AC systems; and 3. evaluate and analyse the performance of electrical components and systems in buildings. |
