    Module Aim(s): The module aims to provide students with an overview on the project management skills in building industry and other engineering projects.  The important knowledge and techniques of project planning and control, contract management, site organisation will be discussed with illustrative examples and case histories.  The associated professional practices and requirements in relationship to the management of construction works and the operation and maintenance of building facilities will be explained.
    Objectives: On completion of this Module, students are expected to be able to:
    1. explain the key issues for building contract procedures, management and administration of building services installations; 
    2. apply the techniques of project planning and control on building projects and develop effective plans for contractual and resources control; and
    3. evaluate the project management skills for contractual arrangement, site organisation and supervision, valuation of works, claim management and dispute resolution.
