Energy - Thermal mass

The building's ceilings are made of concrete, and remain uncovered. As a result of this, the thermal volume of the primary construction can be used to control the temperature of the workplaces. In the summer, the ceilings are cooled via natural night ventilation. During the day, this coolness is then passed back to the rooms. In the same manner, heat, which is released again during the day, can be supplied to the rooms at night in the winter. The room acts as a large-surface radiant heating system, increasing the feeling of well-being within the room on the whole.
