Tsui Tsin Tong Building
The University of Hong Kong, Pokfulam Road, Hong Kong
A study record of building of Building Structures and Environmental Controls by BA(AS)3 Students of 1995/96, Department of Architecture, The University of Hong Kong.
Introduction
Tsui Tsin Tong Building, comprising an art gallery, lecture rooms and office area, was completed in Spring 1996, It is situated in between Fung Ping Shan Museum and Swire Building, close to the Eastern end of the Main Campus of The University of Hong Kong.
As a course assignment on Integrated Technology study, BA(AS)3 students 1995/96 were divided into 22 groups in Winter 1995, to study the various technology issues of this building, with a limitation on the pages to be submitted, and a limited duration for carrying out the study.
The following presentation is a record of the submission of the students on integrated building technology. The submission is slightly rearranged by the editorial team, but the content basically remains the same.
It is intended that this first edition will be supplemented with further illustrations, enhancing its value both as a teaching material and a self-learning material on integrated technology.
Students are encouraged to relate the relevant drawings with the actual environmental controls installations and structures by carrying out site visits to the building.
