It should be arranged in straight flights without winders.
Each flight should be not more than 16 risers nor less than 2 risers.
Treads shall be not less than 225mm wide.
Risers shall be not more than 175mm high.
Landings at the top and bottom shall be not less in width and length
than the staircase width, and no exit door shall at any part of its swing
reduce the effective width of such landing.
Clear height shall not be less than 2000mm.
Handrails should be provided on both sides. They should be at a height
not less than 850mm nor more than 1100mm. In this case, since the central
part of the staircases is an open well, a guide rail of 1100mm high is
provided.
