Description: |
This
course covers important design concepts,
principles and technical calculations of
lighting engineering and systems for buildings
and facilities. The basic principles of light
and colour, the mechanism of human eye and
vision, and the components of artificial light
sources and luminaires will be studied. The
advanced practical skills for indoor and outdoor
lighting design and calculations, daylighting
design and lighting energy management will be
explained. The principle of colorimetry and the
calculations of photometric data for lighting
design will be introduced. The lighting design
considerations on human perception, daylight
factor, glare control, colour rendering, energy
efficiency, safety and emergency will be
discussed. |
