    Module Aim(s): This module aims to provide students with the knowledge on the general management principles and theories in the construction industry. Topics including planning and scheduling techniques, principle management, management of resources in construction projects and processes will enable students to develop a holistic view and understanding of the construction industry in Hong Kong and China, its relation to urban development and the principles of management.
    Objectives: On completion of this Module, students are expected to be able to:
    1. explain the construction project process and the role and responsibility in each stage;
    2. evaluate the social, economic, ecological and environmental impacts of construction development in managing construction projects with compliance of the characteristics of the construction industry and built environment in Hong Kong and China;
    3. apply management principles and managerial skills to perform management functions of different aspects in the built environment;
    4. communicate effectively with various parties in project management; and
    5. contribute as team members and work effectively in teams.
