structure and architecture BIM model. In terms
of E&M BIM, usually, it is only used for
presentation and coordination purpose.
In this talk, we will share the current
E&M BIM situation, limitation of Revit for
Hong Kong engineer and also
the solution to increase E&M design
effectiveness and modelling efficiency.

The workshop
will focus on hands-on
training for BIM
software Revit (MEP)
which includes (a)
E&M Layout (b) Fire
services Layout; (c)
Pipe Works Layout; (d)
Lighting Realization.
After completion of the
workshop, it is expected
that participants can
understand and execute a
MEP BIM project using
suitable modelling
skills.

BIM support for Final Year
Project (Saturday: 10:00am
to 1:00pm)
For final year
project, students are
required to work on
detailed design of
building services
systems and are required
to plan and apply BIM
process. To facilitate
the progress of FYP, the
workshop will provide
technical support/advice
for students. The
instructor will discuss
with participants and
provide professional
comment for possible
improvement.

Basic Introduction to BIM
Presents a consolidated BIM Model
and show how
it is used on
the project.
The registration
is on a
first-come-first-serve
basis. The maximum number
of students in each
session of workshop is 60.
It is expected that two
students will share to use
one computer in the BIM
workshops. You will be
informed whether you can
successfully register the
BIM workshops on or before
8th March 2019.
