    Module Aim(s): The module aims to provide knowledge essential of the operation and maintenance requirements for the design of buildings and building services system as well as occupants.  While learning from the operation and maintenance practices in existing buildings, this module provides opportunity for students to investigate the reasons for the failure of system performance in buildings through review and survey.  This module also focuses on examining how the design, installation and commissioning practices impact on building performance and the application of new technology and development of good practice to achieve efficient operation of engineering systems in new and existing buildings.
    Learning Outcomes: On completion of this Module, students are expected to be able to:
    1. define aims, objectives and criteria to support building services system design;
    2. define aims, objectives and criteria for the operation and maintenance as well as measurement and verification; and
    3. formulate methodologies in measurement and verification for the resolution of problems in operation and maintenance.
