1.1 Geotechnical, Dewatering & Settlement Problems, Legistration Problems
Geotechnic Problems:
1. Change in water level may cause settlement
Water level may rise up since the new building mass block the original underground water path.
2. Installation of monitoring equipments
Install the piezometer and settlement point around the suspected area and stop the whole construction immediately when the monitoring system detect any abnormal situation.
3. Progress hindered by the reinforcement of the step-by-step approval strategy by the Building Authority
With reference to the sequence of the site formation, extra careful attention must pay on monitoring to make sure the constructionfollows the exact step to ensure site safety, therefore, B.D. will lisence a series of consent as a monitoring mechanism. And before the proceeding of nextstep, the followings requirement must be fulfilled.

* pipe pile record plan
* cassion foundation record plan
* cassion cap & tile beam detail
* permanent drainage plan
* screen wall detail
4. Better Co-ordination between each trade of work
Architect, Geotechnical Engineer, Structural Engineer and Contractor should fully co-operatewith each other.
