Building - Structure |
The building has an exceptionally open structure. It virtually fuses with its surroundings. The glass-roofed internal gardens bring the landscape into the building's interior. Conversely, the structure of the building and the low garden walls that spread out from it interlock with the surrounding landscape. The building's open, transparent character allows daylight to flood into every corner of the interior. Solar radiation meets a substantial portion of the users' need for heating and lighting in the most direct possible way. Indirectly, too solar radiation fuels the natural cooling of the building, which works by a combination of water evaporation and natural ventilation. |
