2018 Safety, Health & Industrial Training
1. Standard First Aid Certificate Course
(For Year 1 students, and Year 3/4 who have not completed the course)
- Classes: 4-7 Jun 2018 (Mon-Thu), 09:30‐18:00
- Examination: 8 Jun 2018 (Fri), 09:30‐17:00 (3 groups in the morning session from 9:30-12:30, 2 groups in the afternoon session from 14:00-17:00, detailed arrangement will be announced on 7 June 2018)
- Venue: Tutorial rooms at 7/F and 8/F, THEi Building (Tsing Yi campus)
- Students should fulfill the following criteria in order to get the Standard First Aid Certificate with 3 years validity.
(i) At least 80% attendance (counted by session)
(ii) Pass in both written and practical examinations
- **Please be reminded that you are required to bring along your HKIE card and a Big Bath Towel to attend the lesson and exam**
2. Mandatory Basic Safety (Green Card) Training Course
(For Year 1 students; Only for HK permanent resident/those visa holder who is allowed to work in HK)
- Classes: 2 June 2018 (Sat), 8:45am – 5:15pm
- Venue: HKIC, Kowloon Bay Campus, 44 Tai Yip Street, Kowloon Bay, Kowloon
- Fee: HKD 140
3. Occupational Safety and Health Training
(For Year 1 students, and Year 3/4 who have not completed the course)
- Classes: 11-15 Jun 2018 (Mon-Fri), 10:00am-3:30pm, LT-5
- Occupational Safety and Health Training Sub-topics:
1. Personal Protection, Use of Personal Protective Equipment
2. Effective Safety Management, Safe Working in Confined Spaces
3. Welding Safety, Office Safety
4. Hearing Protection, Coping with Work Stress
5. Chemical Labelling, Managing Chemical Hazards
6. Safety Management System, Safe Working Cycle
7. Construction accident analysis, Occupational Incident and Disease Surveillance System
8. Construction Safety, 危害識別手冊
9. Safe Lifting, Electrical Safety
10. Manual Handling Operations, Understanding the Risks of Upper Limb Musculoskeletal Disorders
