    Schedule for Industrial Attachment 2017-2018

    Briefing Session and Launching Ceremony:
    - 8 Feb 2018 (Thu) 12:30-13:30 LT-3: Briefing on SBS4309 Industrial Attachment [PDF]
    - 31 May 2018 (Thu) 17:30-18:30 LT-4: WIL Launching Ceremony (暑期實習誓師大會)

    Job Application and Nomination:
    - Each student should prepare the following information and submit them in one PDF file to Moodle before
    16 Mar 2018 (Fri)
        - Cover letter for job application (general)
        - Full CV or resume
        - Transcripts, certificates, awards, etc.
    - Each student should also submit an application form for nomination. Students might indicate their preference on the application form (e.g. training period, location and organization type).
        
    - Application form for industrial training [MS Word]
    - Remark: If needed, the student may contact the Department for updating the job application information.
    - March to May 2018: Job application by the students and nomination by the Department

    Nomination Procedure:
    - Department will inform students by email when vacancies are available
    - For open recruitment, students may apply directly by responding to the notice
    - For companies contacted by Department, we will nominate suitable candidate(s) to the jobs
    - Interviews and selection tests might be required by the companies

    Summer Internship and Training:
    - June to August 2018: Conduct summer internship
        - Students should prepare the training
    logbook, reflective journal and attachment/training report
    - If completed the three months requirements of industrial attachment satisfactorily, the student should submit the full attachment/training report, reflective journal and log record to the Department before
    30 Sep 2018.

    Completion of Industrial Attachment:
    - The training performance of the student will be assessed by the academic staff and the industrial supervisor. The assessment items include:
        - Training Logbook (15%)
        - Reflective Journal (40%)
        - Attachment Report
    (45%)
    - This module will be graded Pass or Fail only. Students with outstanding performance will receive a certificate of merit
        - A student may fail the training course if his/her training performance is unsatisfactory.
        - A training certificate will be issued to indicate the quality of training results: Passed with distinction; Passed; and Failed
