| Module Aim(s): | The
module aims at providing students with a
consolidated source of information on the basics
of building commissioning with particular
attentions given to commissioning
progress. The module aims to enable
students to select and apply appropriate testing
and commissioning procedures for building
services.to be qualified for various
professional roles, such as building owners,
building operators, suppliers and engineers
about to embark on commissioning efforts. |
| Objectives: | On
completion of this Module, students are expected
to be able to: 1. relate the underlying philosophy of commissioning to the development of commissioning process; 2. apply the territory of commissioning to explain its defining characteristics, flow of processes, and its documentation; 3. apply commissioning process for design, planning and management, of building services taking considerations with contractual responsibilities; and 4. evaluate the effects of commissioning process and implement the appropriate methodology for economics effectiveness. |
