Atrium

To introduce more daylighting into the office, a skylight is added on the roof together with an atrium inside the office. The penetration of daylighting can help reduce the light energy use, it is found that the lamps around the atrium for both G/F and 1/F have not switched on at all. Although skylight will allow more heat to enter the building and will increase the cooling energy requirement. Gammon tries to introduce an insulation layer which helps absorbing heat without affecting the daylight penetration.
