The entire site is developed for displaying Hong Kong Voluntary Defence Corp artifacts and exhibiting about the history of coastal defence in the neighborhood of Hong Kong.

The location of this site is very attractive with spectacular sea view and greenery. It is believed that developing a museum there will be very appealing. The project aimed at preserving the original fort and conserve the relics while reuse the old fort in a lively and sustainable way.

As it was once a restricted military area, the site is quite remote and is inaccessible to the general public. The design would like to improve the accessibility in a sustainable way so this Victorian fortification and the original character of the site can be conserved.
