The facility has been designed to provide an ideally comfortable environment in each of the building's three zones. The air-conditioner combines with the gas and electric systems and with waste heat recovered from the fuel cell generator to serve as a source for heating and cooling operations. The outside atrium requires no artificial air-conditioning. |
Energy-saving light fixtures are used throughout the facility. A central control system is used to monitor the lighting and switch the fixtures on and off. Overhead office illumination is kept low, while desktop illumination is brighter. |
The entire facility is equipped with water-saving sanitary devices. Waster heat from the fuel cell generator is used for the hot water supply, and rainwater is collected at the reservoir, purified, and used in the outdoor sprinkler system. |
