- Parts 2 to 6 of the Buildings Energy Efficiency Ordinance will come into operation on 21 September 2012 and relevant commencement notice was gazetted on 13 May 2011. Hence, the Ordinance will be in full implementation starting on 21 September 2012, and all prescribed buildings constructed thereafter shall comply with the BEC and energy audit for commercial buildings shall commence accordingly.
