Shading Device

The Building makes use of the window blinds together with the sunshading fins to provide an effective shading system for west / east facing facade while maintaining maximum view.

Venetian blinds are housed in a 200mm air gap in the glazing system and are operated by a computerized system. When sunlight sensors detect a need for shade, the blinds will automatically descend to cut glare and heat gain in the interiors. The sensors also control the blinds' blade angles. The photovoltaic panels at the rooftop provide power for their operation.

Aluminum shading device is used for the building to allow better daylight distribution into rooms. The sunshading fins serve as reflectors bouncing light up onto the angled ceiling to transmit more natural light inside the building while at the same time limiting the entry of direct sunlight. At night, these fins are lit from below as architectural features.
