    BIM training workshops:

    • BIM MEP workshops for BSE year 3 and 4 students: (at Room 225, BIMiHub, THEi Tsing Yi Campus)

      • Workshop (1): Elementary Hands-On Training for Revit (MEP) (Tuesday: 7:00pm to 10:00pm)
        • The workshop will focus on hands-on training for BIM software Revit (MEP) which includes (a) E&M Layout (b) Fire services Layout; (c) Pipe Works Layout; (d) Lighting Realization. After completion of the workshop, it is expected that paticipants can understand and execute a MEP BIM project using suitable modelling skills.
        • Topics:
          • Basic Introduction to BIM
          • Presents a consolidated BIM Model and show how it is used on the project.
          • Introduction to Revit
          • User Interface
          • Basic Editing commands
          • Managing views in Revit
          • Basic modeling skills
          • Start building an ARC model
      • Workshop (2): BIM support for Final Year Project (Saturday: 10:00am to 1:00pm)
        • For final year project, students are required to work on detailed design of building services systems and are required to plan and apply BIM process. To facilitate the progress of FYP, the workshop will provide technical support/advice for students. The instructor will discuss with participants and provide professional comment for possible improvement.
        • Topics:
          • Basic Introduction to BIM
          • Presents a consolidated BIM Model and show how it is used on the project.
          • Understand the Project BIM Requirements
          • Check the current progress of each group project
          • Guide the student on how  to set up their project
      • Web links for registration:
      • The registration is on a first-come-first-serve basis. The maximum number of students in each session of workshop is 60. It is expected that two students will share to use one computer in the BIM workshops. You will be informed whether you can successfully register the BIM workshops on or before 8th March 2019.
