Latz + Partner's has set a precedent for generating obsolete industrial lands in urban areas, though the park was only completed lately. Its influence is for good reason, instead of creating a tabula rasa surface for development, the design attempts to celebrate the area's industrial past by integrating vegetation and industry. The intervention preserves the remains of the old installations as valuable hertiage, and makes them available for public enjoyment. The evident conradictions add to the park's overall effect.
