Air-Conditioning System

As the Park needs to operate in flexible hours to suit different tenants' requirement, using energy effectively is important - all the system are focus on "service-on-demand" operation. Network analyzers are installed in the LV switchboards to provide continuous data acquisition for monitoring of power consumption and to plan for future energy usage.

The air-conditioning systems used in the Buildings are water-cooled air conditioning system due to its higher energy efficiency and coefficient of performance. All air-conditioning plants are sized to run at their maximum efficiency according to the load characteristics of the complex.

Chillers/heat pumps are using environmental friendly refrigerant with zero ozone depletion potential. Waste heat from the condensing water of the chillers is reclaimed by heat recovery facilities and heat pumps to produce hot water for heating and for potable use.

To minimize the operating time and power consumption, room temperature auto-reset facilities as well as occupancy sensors are installed for air-conditioning control. The air-conditioning systems are "zoned" for partial occupancy.

Application of variable air volume (VAV) air conditioning system together with the Carbon Dioxide sensors installed in the return air duct of AHUs help adjusting the volume of fresh air supply in accordance with the level of occupancy.
