Air Pollution Control

Exhaust systems of kitchens for cafeteria operations in the Park are comprised of water scrubbers, electrostatic precipitators and grease filters. Exhaust outlets are located to have no direct facing to adjacent buildings and to be at least 5 meters above the ground level.

Moreover, the maintenance vehicles in the Park are electric powered to reduce green-house gases emission.

For indoor air, it is filtered with chemical filters and/or bio-oxygen filters to remove odour and other chemical pollutants while ultra-violet filters are provided to suppress the bacteria. It is to aim at to achieve "Level 1" indoor air quality in the Guidance Notes of the Government.
